Greetings OCRA Friends,
Many of our members were able to attend NCRA in Nashville this year. We had a few challenges there without wifi, but even so, I think everyone who attended felt that there were some great speakers and valuable information shared. I was particularly interested in hearing Asa Carter from CoC review the new Standards and clarify a few points. One continuing theme throughout the conference was that
our work is valuable and quality reporting is essential. There was a lot of focus on NCDB, RQRS and implementing the new Standards.
A lot of work is being done on our Fall Workshop. It will be a great learning experience for all of us and I would encourage everyone who is able to attend. I would like to thank Connie Winkler, Carol Hammond and the education committee for all of their hard work on our behalf. The Michele Henson Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Lorraine Colwell from Legacy Health this year. She has been an OCRA member for four years and achieved her CTR credentials this spring. We congratulate her for all of her accomplishments and contributions to our organization.
